Minnesota Vehicle Registration
The state of Minnesota require that all vehicles that will operated within the state are registered with the Minnesota DMV. Regardless of whether the vehicle is used or new you still need to register it with the Minnesota DMV. Registration is also required if you have recently moved to Minnesota and own a vehicle which has already been registered in another state. Initial registration is one of the few DMV tasks that require you to attend in person.
A newly purchsed vehicle needs to be registered within 10 days. A residents of Minnesota have need to register their vehicle within 60 days of arriving.
Make sure you have all the documentation required before you go to the DMV to register your vehicle . The Bill of Sale or the vehicle title will provide proof of vehicle ownership. Coming with proof of insurance is also probably good idea. If you car was registered out-of-state then you might need to show the original registration document or the original vehicle title.
